Junior Hifdh Program
It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (r) said: "The Messenger of Allah (s) said: His parents will be clothed with garments, which far surpass everything to be found in this world. His parents will say, "O Lord, how did we earn this?" It will be said to them. "Because you taught your child the Qur'an." (Narrated by al-Tabrani).
Memorize the Qur'an with Tajweed
Exposure to Arabic, Hadith, and Tafseer
Ages 9-15 with separate classes for boys and girls
Enrollment in Fall 2020 with classes occurring from 4:00-6:30 pm Monday through Friday
Tuition $100 per month
Students of this course will be taught the method of memorization of the Quran with proper Tajweed. There will be special emphasis placed on reinforcing the rules of Tajweed during memorization. Testing and evaluation of memorized sections (Juz') of the Quran will be conducted periodically, which the student is required to pass to move forward with memorization. Students will gain a systematic approach to complete their Hifdh and also get an opportunity to learn the basics of Islamic Sciences, such as Hadith memorization, Masnun Dua'a, and Jurisprudence (Fiqh). This program will have separate classes for boys and girls.
Tajweed - Proper pronunciation of the Qur'an
Hifdh - Memorization of the entire Qur'an
Tafseer - Understanding of select surahs in the Qur'an
Hadith - Understanding and memorization of the 40 hadith of Imam al-Nawawi
Arabic - Memorization of common words in the Qur'an with introduction to grammar (nahw, sarf)
Fiqh - Fundamentals of ibadat (taharah, salah, sawm)
Our Hifdh course instructors are certified with ijazah regarding proper recitation of the Qur’an. They have experience teaching students how to read with tajweed at all levels.
The Hafidh course lasts at most four years. Students will be taught according to their pace and ability. Upon complete memorization of the Holy Quran, students will be awarded prestigious certificate (Sanad) of "Hafidh al-Quran" by the American Qur’an Institute.
Our Hafidh courses have small class sizes of less than 12 students, which are designed to promote close student and teacher interaction. Students get the opportunity to interact frequently with qualified scholars in and out of class, allowing them to perfect their memorization and tajweed. Classes will be separate for boys and girls.
Classes will run from 4:00-6:30 pm, Monday through Friday at Masjid Saad.
Cost of tuition is $100 per month for students. Financial aid is available.
